Our OSHA-certified trainers deliver courses and training designed for riggers who are required to be qualified riggers according to OSHA 1926.1400 Rule. Our training can also benefit management personnel who oversee crane operations and lifts.

At the completion of training the participant will be able to estimate center of gravity for symmetric loads, understand hitch types, their correct application and to select the most applicable sling type, its size and the hitch configuration required to lift the load safely. Identify requirements for inspection/removal criteria for all synthetic, wire rope and alloy chain slings as well as inspection/removal criteria for shackles, eyebolts, swivel hoist rings, rigging hooks, turnbuckles, rings, links and swivels. This course can be used as an employer qualification course if the employer wants to use it as such. Ron Witt is recognized as a rigging expert trainer and is NCCCO certified in rigging and signal person.
Meet Your Trainer: Ron Witt
Ron Witt is the President of Catamount Consulting of Pennsylvania in Kunkletown. He has been involved with safety and safety training for over 24 years. His experience ranges from having worked in both mining and construction as well as being an instructor at both Penn State and Drexel University. These experiences bring an extensive amount of safety knowledge and real world experience to our clients in both training and consulting. As a certified MSHA instructor, Master OSHA Instructor, ATSSA work zone Instructor or as an Instructor for the Rigging Institute, Ron can deliver quality, objective driven training classes to your operation.
