Whether she is providing onsite injury prevention education, performing job safety assessments, developing custom training materials, or getting hands-on out in the field, Dr. Turner blends the art of assessment with the science of movement to create simple solutions that leave a lasting impact.

Dr. Turner earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill after completing her undergraduate studies at the University of Florida.  She has clinical experience in orthopedics, sports, skilled nursing, vestibular therapy, and neuromuscular rehabilitation.  After years of insurance limitations and clinical constraints, she began to work “upstream” in industrial injury prevention.  Many ergonomics companies have a vested financial interest in a continuing stream of injured workers.  What sets Dr. Turner apart is her motivation to eliminate injuries.  She combines her education as a physical therapist with her postgraduate ergonomics training and extensive onsite experience. Her solutions prevent injuries and effect lasting change.

Dr. Turner is passionate about people. She takes a participatory approach, collaborating with employers and employees alike to foster a culture of empowerment. Her goal is to equip them with the “why” and the “how” of safe movement.  She does not offer cookie-cutter recommendations, but approaches each situation individually,  She takes time to understand nuances and works within existing constraints to create viable solutions.

Her experience spans many industries, including aggregate, manufacturing, and construction. She utilizes cutting edge technology to quantify safety risk and provides ROI-based ergonomic recommendations.  She also utilizes principles of learning and the latest science to ensure her programs are as effective as possible.
